CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
The older members of the church are very special to us. In many ways, they are the backbone of the congregation. Calling themselves The Circle of Friends, this fine group meets regularly for fellowship, but more importantly, they set an amazing spiritual example for the rest of the us.
At 26th and Connecticut, we accept and love all ages, but we especially revere and honor those who have experienced life the most. We believe we have much to learn from these fine individuals.

Circle of Friends - May 20, 2016
The Circle of Friends for the 26th and Connecticut church of Christ met Friday night in the fellowship hall at the building. The attendance was light for some had a wedding to attend, some out of town and other commitments. Tom and Judy had been in Neosho working with their grandson to convert the garage and basement into an apartment. Judy was exhausted and did not make it and Tom slid in under the wire to spend some time with the group. Tom's picture is not included. His camera simply refused to take his picture.
Those in attendance were Joe and Sharen May, Phyllis White, Mary Hazelbaker, Ernie and Sharon Trumbly, Sharon Patton, Jerry and Martha Howell and Tom Watts.
Good food was well displayed and there was no hesitation in it being enjoyed by all. Ernie had requested (tongue in cheek) that we not forget to bring deserts. He was not disappointed. Fried chicken from Charley's Chicken, potato salad, chip with dip and salad. There were multiple deserts including doughnuts, some kind of round chocolate sandwich with sweet in the middle, yum. Topped off with chocolate cake. What else could one ask for.
The Circle of Friends has different activities on occasion but tonight was mostly a nice meal with christian friends accompanied with excellent conversation.
Each person chips in $1.00 and the monies are used for different functions. Recently the Circle of Friends purchased new salt and pepper shakers for the fellowship hall. In times past they have donated to the children s home.
