Our over-50 group meets often for terrific conversation and fellowship. This time they took a side trip to Whistler's for some ice cream.
Some of the ladies made it to Firehouse Pottery, this week, for a terrific evening of painting and fellowship.
We sing many songs.
We have a number of talented song leaders.
Our singing without mechanical accompaniment can be beautiful. At the very least, with a worshipful mindset, our praise is a joy in Heaven.
But at the same time, we seek to improve. We understand that our singing is meant to honor God, but we also understand that we are to edify one another, to teach and encourage other worshippers through our unified voices. That's why everyone is invited to set aside some time before our Wednesday evening devotional and Bible classes for learning new songs and new tunes from our book.
We're trying to pitch our songs in a "singable" range, keep the intended cadence, and harmonize with the melody, but at the same time, let us not lose sight that the message is important as well.
Members and visitors alike, won't you join us? Our current schedule invites you to participate every Wednesday, beginning at 6:15.
